Note and our recommendation

Bikes are often designed so that – when an engine protection bar is installed – the footrest and the bar touch down at similar lean angles, which remain safe regarding tyre grip. It’s important to remember that different factors, such as machine load or when riding through dips or potholes, may limit lean angles.

For riders who want more clearance when approaching the asphalt, we have developed our lean angle indicators (#13515-200), which can be easily mounted on the outside of the original enduro footrests.

This Wunderlich GUARD engine protection bar offers the optimal compromise between protection and weight.

It reliably protects the cylinders, valve covers, and both lambda sensors. The comprehensive protection concept increases passive safety and enhances riding pleasure. In the event of a fall or tip-over, the forces are optimally distributed via the bar structure to the robust mounting points, reducing stress peaks and material strain.

The structure is made of 25 mm precision steel tubing. Segments are formed on CNC bending machines and welded cleanly. Visually, the bar integrates harmoniously into the motorcycle’s design and complements its distinctive look. Our ULTIMATE version is maintenance-friendly: oil drain plug and filter remain fully accessible without removing the bar.

With our bars, protective function and design take centre stage. This bar enhances your BMW with premium styling. The black version is glass bead blasted and then powder-coated in black.
