Note and our recommendation
Motorcycles are often designed so that – if an engine protection bar is installed – the footrest and protection bar touch down at roughly the same lean angle, which is generally within the safe limits of tyre grip. It's important to be aware that factors such as luggage load, riding through dips or potholes may reduce your effective lean angle.

This Wunderlich GUARD engine protection bar is designed to deliver maximum protection with full lean angle clearance.

It reliably protects the cylinders and valve covers. The all-round protection concept enhances passive safety and riding enjoyment. In the event of a fall or tip-over, impact forces are effectively distributed via the bar structure to robust mounting points, preventing extreme loads and reducing material stress.

The structure is made from 25 mm precision steel tubing. Tubes are bent on CNC pipe bending machines and then cleanly welded. Visually, the protection bar integrates seamlessly into the design of the motorcycle and complements its distinctive appearance. It is compatible with the original BMW cylinder head cover, Option 719 ignition coil covers and OEM auxiliary lights. Our ULTIMATE engine protection bar is maintenance-friendly: oil drain plug and filter cartridge remain fully accessible without removing the protection bar.
